GigaTera has developed the first commercially available optical clock for high-speed telecommunications and signal processing. Our patent protected optical pulse generators are a fundamental building block for next generation multi-gigahertz photonic networks, WDM transmission systems, and optical clocking.

GigaTera's pulse generating lasers enable more efficient and flexible optical transmission in metro, access and long-haul networks. Their simplicity and superior performance make them ideally suited for a broad range of multi-wavelength applications, time-division multiplexing (OTDM), signal processing and test & measurement.

Based on the breakthrough work of our world-renowned technical team, GigaTera's technology delivers stable picosecond optical pulses from 10 to 160 GHz without an active electrical drive signal. The same pulse generators also produce a comb of wavelength channels locked to the ITU grid at precise spacings including 25 and 50 GHz across the C-band. Whether pushing the limits of spectral efficiency through more channels or higher single channel rates, GigaTera's products offer a unique, network-scalable solution.

The technology is available today in a simple, turnkey instrument for system developers and is being migrated to a small form factor that will enable an increasing number of high volume applications.
